Yunus Emre Akbaba, LL.M., Attorney-at-Law (Istanbul)

Yunus is a Turkish-law qualified dispute resolution lawyer currently practising in an Istanbul-based law firm. After having graduated from law school, he attended Uppsala University (Sweden) as a master student in investment treaty arbitration. He is also a graduate student at Galatasaray University, where he pursues another master’s degree in private law.

Özge Varış, LL.M., Attorney-at-Law (Istanbul)

Özge graduated from Yeditepe University Faculty of Law with LL.B. degree (Istanbul, Turkey, 2009). She holds Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from University of Amsterdam, Amsterdam Law School in International and European Union Law (Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 2010). She was admitted to the Istanbul Bar and Turkish Bar Associations as a qualified attorney at law in December, 2011. She has been doing her PhD at University of Dundee, CEPMLP since October 2012, and now she is in the submission stage. Her current research mainly focuses on international investment law and energy sector, and her research interests include international economic law, especially international investment law, international energy law, European trade and investment policy and European energy policy.
